Allied Health · Sydney

Occupational Therapy across Sydney, in clinic and at home.

Occupational therapists help people do the everyday things that matter: getting in and out of the shower safely, cooking a meal, getting to the shops. Much of this work happens in the home, where the problems and the solutions both live.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions about occupational therapy

Straightforward answers on referrals, home visits, and reporting.

What is a Functional Capacity Assessment (FCA) and why is it needed?

A Functional Capacity Assessment is a comprehensive evaluation of how a person performs daily living activities. It provides the essential clinical justification needed by the NDIA or Home Care Package managers to allocate appropriate funding and supports.

Do your occupational therapists assess and design home modifications?

Yes. We conduct detailed home environment audits and recommend modifications ranging from safety grab rails and step ramps to full accessible bathroom remodels and stairlifts.

Can you prescribe assistive technology and wheelchairs?

Yes. Our OTs conduct equipment trials and prescribe assistive technology including powered and manual wheelchairs, specialized seating, transfer hoists, and electric beds.

Where do occupational therapy assessments take place?

Most OT work is conducted directly in the client’s home where everyday functional challenges occur. We visit private residences and aged care facilities across all Sydney suburbs.
